Makernow Manager / Associate Professor of Digital Craft
With a background in the arts, Justin Marshall is a maker and researcher who has been investigating the creative use of digital design and production technologies for over ten years. As a member of the Autonomatic research group he has undertaken research that has investigated online co-design systems and has been involved in developing new methods for community centred design. Justin has played a major role in a number of knowledge exchange projects, both within the Cornish design and craft sector and beyond.
Technologist / Web Developer
With a 10 year background in web development, Andy is a skilled programmer with a keen interest in connecting the physical world to the web using technologies such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. He is co-founder of Falmouth-based video production company Joint Effort Studios, where he has used rapid prototyping technologies to create innovative filmmaking tools that are accessible and affordable to the general public.
3D Designer Maker
Oliver has over 10 years experience in both 3D design and fabrication. He has woked extensively in the design, exhibition and museum sector in Cornwall and the south west before starting up his own design studio oh design. As founder, Oliver aims to fuse creative design solutions with practical outcomes that are accessible and available to everyone.
Product Design Expert Consultant
With a background in Product Design, Adam Stringer is a highly experience 3D designer and industrial CAD expert. Whilst heading up Falmouth University’s Design Bureau over the past 3 years Adam has worked with a diverse set of clients, from the NHS to local chocolate producers. Alongside his CAD design skills, he has an extensive experience in creating physical prototypes using digital and traditional production techniques.
Technologist Expert Consultant
Jowan Parker is a learning technologist, with many years of experience of technically supporting projects with a broad skill base that includes both hardware and software development. Within his various roles at Falmouth University and his personal practice he has developed interactive devices that required an in depth understanding of interfaces, networks, programming and electronics.
